Etta Marie Kennedy

Etta Marie Richardson (Kennedy) was born to Lille M. Richardson (deceased)  and Johnny C. Richardson (deceased) on September 26, 1968 in Palestine, Texas.

Etta relocated to Houston as a teenager.   She attended school in the third ward area and worked in food service for many years at area schools and universities.  She later married Larry Kennedy. Etta was an advocate and believed deeply in reading, sharing and living her life according to the word of God.  She didn’t meet one person that she didn’t tell about the goodness of the Lord. 

On June 16, 2020, God called Etta home to join His army of angels.  She is preceded in death by her parents: Lillie Hankston (Richardson) and Johnny Richardson, her siblings, Elmore Richardson (brother); Johnnie Mae Tobar (sister) and Johnny Edens (brother).  

Etta leaves to cherish her memories: One son: John Richardson (Houston),  three daughters all of Houston, TX: Erica Womack, Yasmine Womack, and Brittnay Davis, a grandson/son: Jamar Richardson (Houston), two brothers: Darrell Richardson(Baltimore, MD.), and Willie Edens (Dallas, TX), four sisters Zelda Sampey (Houston) Carolyn Thompson(Quincy)(Houston), Lovana Tatum(Houston) and Etta Gainer (Los Angeles, Ca), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
