James Walker Jr.

On October 5, 2022, James Walker Jr., transitioned peacefully at his home in Marrero Louisiana. James was born to the late James and Anna Mae Walker.

He was a beloved and devoted father of three children including; Deshauntia Benn, Terence Walker and Vania Thomas, and proud grandfather to five grandchildren. 

He leaves behind a host of family and friends. 

James lived an abundant life on his terms and was known for his love of sports betting that he shared with his community.

The community is invited to his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 15, 2022, for 10:00 am with visitation from 9:00 –10:00 at St.  Stephen’s Baptist Church located on 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, La. Mask are required. Services will be officiated by Pastor Weber. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 146 4^th Street, Westwego, La.

Repass will follow at Our Sacred Heart at 1425 Walkertown Way in Marrero.
