Rosezalue Bromon

Rosezalue Bromon officially known to many as Rose took her first breath on June 4, 1926. She was born to the proud parents of the late Tony Pruitt and Della Birmingham-Pruitt in Linden Texas.

Rose was the baby girl of seven siblings. She departed this life on March 11, 2023 at South West Memorial Hermann Hospital with her loving children and family by her side. Rose accepted Christ at early age at Salem Baptist Church, in Linden Texas. She later rededicated her life at St. Anthony’s Missionary Baptist Church where her children were baptized, under the direction of Reverend Mackey.

Rose was united in marriage to late Albert Hampton and Isaiah Washington Bromon. Entering the union with Albert Hampton, Rose’s first husband was two children born, Albert Hampton Jr. and Anthony Craig Hampton. From Roses’s  last union with Isaiah W. Bromon (IW) was born Denise Michelle Rogers, Isaiah Muhammad and Yvonne Genetta Bromon-Meyers.

Rose graduated from Fairview high school in Linden Texas. She later moved to Houston Texas and resided in South Acres with her family. She was a hair beautician for many years. She was also known for her free heartedness and good cooking. There was always a sweet aroma coming from her kitchen where she prepared many meals out of love.

She is preceded in death by her husband’s Isaiah Washington Bromon and Albert Hampton, siblings: Curtis Gaither, Blanfield Gaither, Lovie Lee, Pearl Gaither, Alzora (Aunt Sis) Gaither and Johnny Pruitt.

Rose was known to many as Mama, Granny, Aunt and Cousin Rose. Rose’s family officially knew her and enjoyed her role. She provided a strong foundation for her family. She always gave advice, wisdom, and unconditional love. She never passed an opportunity to help or say a kind word to others. Rosie’s message to her family was to serve God. She leaves to cherish her memories five loving and dedicated children:  daughters… Denise, Yvonne and sons, Albert (Jr), Craig, and Isaiah, with lots of grandchildren (21) and great grandchildren (13) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends .
