Trenessa Marie James was born May 5, 1968 to the late Verna Mae James and the late Joe Lewis Cargo in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was granted her wings on June 7, 2020 with her kids by her side. Trenessa affectionately known as Trinnie, was born and raised in Algiers most of her life. Trinnie and her daughter moved to Slidell, LA in 2017. Trenessa worked for Audubon Nature Institute up until her condition permitted. She held several other jobs before working at Audubon. Trenessa was a very talented individual, from doing hair, sewing, making crafts, to cooking, she did it all. Trenessa gave her life to Christ in 2017 when she was baptized at New Home Ministries by Samuel R. Blakes. Trenessa loved her family and participated in every event that took place with them. She was a very helpful and loving individual. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She loved watching the Saints football games, going to the parades and going out to eat with family. Trenessa will be sadly missed by all of the people whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime. Among her loved ones, she leaves to cherish her memories, her loving companion Gizmo; one daughter: Leschelle Duplessis; one son: Vernon James; two grandkids: London and Ronald "RJ" Duplessis; Sisters: Schirra James (Delvin), Escondalita "Boo" Duncan (Cornell) and Joann Cargo; Brothers: Carlos James (Sandra), Russell James, Solomon Bolen, Joe Cargo, Terryl Cargo (Terri), Donald Cargo, Randell Cargo and Spencer Bailey; Nieces: Irealle James, Sundiata McClain, Sydni McClain, Shiranique Davis, Kayla James and Charnel Hallway; Nephews: Zaiden Williams, Ty'jion Jones and Saint Davis; Aunt: Alicia Laurendine; Godchildren: Roynata Duplessis, Tevin Henry and Tyke Jones and a host of other nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Trenessa was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents; violet James and Shepard James; paternal grandparents; Viola Cargo and Charles Cargo, brothers; Curtis Cargo, Dwight Duncan and Jackie James; Aunt; Claudia Henry and Uncle Samuel James
